Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Officially Launches Today!

The long awaiting adventure has arrived as everyone has been calling it the Star Wars Hotel is finally open and taking on its first passengers. Check out the newest blog post from Disney Travel News below with a little peek into the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser!

By: Disney Destinations
March 1, 2022

Today marks the official launch of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser at Walt Disney World Resort, and to celebrate, we’re taking a quick photo tour through the Halcyon starcruiser. Come along as we journey to a galaxy far, far away thanks to the amazing work of our Disney photographers.

Guests arrive for this first-of-its-kind two-night experience at the Galactic Starcruiser Terminal, where their bags and car are whisked away as they begin the adventure.

After boarding a Launch Pod and blasting through hyperspace, Guests dock with the Halcyon starcruiser and step out into its main deck Atrium. Here, Guests may be greeted by SK-62O, the ship’s resident astromech droid (he’s helpful in a pinch).

Then, Guests are escorted to their cabin, which is fun to explore in its own right – especially those sleeping berths built into one of the walls and the viewport out to space.

Once Guests are settled in, it’s time to head back down to the Atrium for the ship’s muster, led by Captain Riyola Keevan (seen here on the right) and Cruise Director Lenka Mok.

Following muster is a good time to do a bit more looking around – the Sublight Lounge is great for a nice drink or a hand of holo-sabacc, or maybe a stroll into The Chandrila Collection boutique to pick up some clothing and accessories for the voyage.

By now Guests should be checking their Star Wars: Datapad through the Play Disney Parks app on their mobile device. The itinerary updates constantly throughout the stay, so Guests will always know when it’s time for some special onboard activities like …

… Bridge Training …

… Lightsaber Training …

… or dinner in the Crown of Corellia Dining Room, featuring a spectacular musical performance by galactic superstar Gaya on the first night.

Whew … there’s a lot to take in already, and Guests could potentially do all of that in just the first few hours of the two-night journey!

We’re thrilled for Guests to make this adventure-filled voyage that goes beyond anything Disney has created before. So as they say on the starcruiser … good journey and ta’bu e tay! (Hint: That last one means, “Cherish the moment” … fitting, don’t you think?)

so what are your thoughts about the Disney Galactic Starcruiser? Are you ready to book your adventure?  this is definately going to be a one of a kind adventure.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Coming Spring of 2022

Take some time to read the latest information on Disney’s most awaited adventure yet, Boarding the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser for an immersive two night two day experience to save the Galaxy. I had a chance to finally visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge over the summer and I was so impressed. I can not wait to experience this new adventure. So below you will find all the latest information just released from Disney Travel News about everyting Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser has to offer guests on board this adventure.

‘We’re Gonna Save the Galaxy’: Check Out the First Commercial for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser at Walt Disney World Resort

By: Disney Destinations
August 4, 2021

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is set to open in spring 2022 at Walt Disney World Resort, and today with the debut of its first commercial, we get a glimpse of what this first-of-its-kind vacation experience will be like. Check it out!

After you’ve watched this one or maybe 10 times, here are a few fun moments that stand out to us:

  • We already know the adventure will begin at the Galactic Starcruiser Terminal at Walt Disney World, where Guests will enter a launch pod and head out into space. In this new clip, we watch out a viewport as the pod jumps to hyperspace, followed by the sudden appearance of the Halcyon starcruiser, home base for this immersive two-night adventure in a galaxy far, far away.
  • As we learned last week from Disney Imagineers, the dining experience will certainly be a highlight of a stay aboard the starcruiser.
  • You see in the commercial how the Resistance is always looking for new recruits – but will Guests choose to join them?
  • As our hero’s family rushes into the scene, you get a view out to space over his shoulder, and then a quick look inside the cabin. The sleeping berths we can see are reminiscent of a similar bunk inside the main hold of the Millennium Falcon, no? And those are definitely some nice robes the family is wearing – they look like Jedi ready for action!
  • When the camera pulls back, we zoom out the cabin’s viewport and into space – where suddenly TIE fighters dart in and hurl some blaster bolts toward the starcruiser. The Imagineers let us know Guests will be trained in bridge operations as part of our stay on the ship, and its laser cannons may come in handy at some point …

And as always, stay tuned as we continue to cover all things Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser leading up to its opening in spring 2022!

So that’s a wrap on all of the most up do date information we currently have on Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser from Disney Travel News. I will be creating a waitlist for anyone who would like to take a trip into space or shall I say enjoy a two night stay on the Galactic Starcruiser. So keep an eye out for that coming soon! Who’s ready to save the Galaxy?

Featured Ports and Itineraries for Summer 2022

Please review the latest information from Disney Cruise Line.

Disney Cruise Line will offer families exciting adventures around the world in summer 2022, including voyages to new destinations and favorite ports of call in the Greek Isles, Mediterranean, northern Europe, Alaska and the Caribbean. Plus, first-ever summer departures from Miami will take guests to Disney’s enchanting private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay.

Explorations in the Greek Isles, Mediterranean, Northern Europe and Beyond

In summer 2022, a new collection of destinations will be part of the Disney Magic’s grand tour of Europe, which begins with sailings through the Greek Isles and Mediterranean before heading to northern Europe for cruises to the Baltic, the British Isles, Iceland and the Norwegian fjords. Five new ports of call in Europe include Chania, Greece; Porto, Portugal; Riga, Latvia; Maloy, Norway; and Nynashamn, Sweden, near Stockholm.

From Rome, eight-, nine- and 12-night cruises to Greece will whisk families to the beautiful landscapes and archeological wonders of destinations like Piraeus, the gateway to Athens, and to the spectacular Greek islands of Santorini and Mykonos. One nine-night sailing will mark Disney Cruise Line’s first call to Chania, Greece, on the island of Crete, known for its charming harbor and Venetian and Florentine influences.

Mediterranean voyages from Barcelona, Spain, will visit a mix of must-see locales including Rome and Naples, plus French Riviera coastal towns like Villefranche and Cannes. During a seven-night cruise from Barcelona to Dover, England, Disney Cruise Line will make its first-ever visit to Porto, Portugal, a coastal city with old-world charm nestled in one of the world’s leading wine regions and made famous for giving Port Wine its name.

Additional new ports of call in northern Europe include Riga, the capital of Latvia and the largest metropolis in the Baltics; Nynashamn, Sweden, a beautiful seaside town just outside Stockholm; and Maloy, Norway, a charming coastal village bordered by silver-sand beaches and historic lighthouses.

Adventures in Alaska

The Disney Wonder will return to Alaska for the 2022 summer season to explore the region’s breathtaking natural vistas, glaciers and wildlife. Departing from Vancouver, Canada, most of these seven-night cruises will visit Dawes Glacier, Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan. Two of the cruises will call on Icy Strait Point in place of Skagway.

Each Alaska sailing will offer adventure in port and fun aboard the ship, with stunning scenery, exciting Port Adventures and special Disney Cruise Line touches that will bring the splendor and spirit of “The Last Frontier” to life on board.

First-Ever Summer Cruises from Miami

For the first time ever, families can sail out of Miami during the summer season, enjoying even more opportunities to visit Castaway Cay. Every cruise from Miami in the summer of 2022 features a stop at Disney’s private island paradise. The June 7 voyage marks the Disney Dream’s inaugural cruise from Miami, as the ship has previously only homeported in Port Canaveral, Florida.

In addition to visiting Castaway Cay, three- and four-night cruises from Miami will call on Nassau, Bahamas, while five-night cruises include a stop at either Grand Cayman or Cozumel, Mexico. One special five-night sailing features two stops at Castaway Cay, along with a call on Nassau.

Tropical Vacations from Port Canaveral

Tropical vacations to the Caribbean and Bahamas continue aboard the Disney Fantasy from Port Canaveral near the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. Each Disney Fantasy voyage features a visit to Castaway Cay.

The Disney Fantasy will embark on an assortment of itineraries to the eastern and western Caribbean throughout the summer of 2022, including seven-night voyages, a special five-night sailing and an extended nine-night cruise.

The nine-night Disney Fantasy cruise features a first-time call on Roseau, Dominica, an eastern Caribbean destination filled with natural hot springs, exquisite waterfalls and tropical rainforests. This mountainous island is bordered by pristine beaches and crystal clear water perfect for aquatic activities.

Pre-Cruise Escapes with Adventures by Disney

In summer 2022, Disney Cruise Line guests can extend the magic of their cruise vacation in Europe with a pre-cruise escape in select cities from Adventures by Disney, a leader in family guided group vacations.

Adventures by Disney offers popular pre-cruise vacations in Rome, London, Barcelona and Copenhagen. These two- to three-night escapes feature unforgettable experiences in iconic cities, such as a private, after-hours visit to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel in Rome. In addition, activities like flamenco dancing, mosaic making and preparing locally inspired cuisine immerse families in the culture of each region.

Today’s the day Disney has released it’s 2022 package pricing. Are you ready to visit Mickey Mouse?

Living through this pandemic has changed our way of life. We now have a new normal. It has set us back financially, emotionally and changed us all along the way. I have built a great business planning travel for my clients over the past 11 years. It has been my passion creating lasting memories for my guests. This past year my Travel business took a big hit and It has been hard trying to recover. Guests had to either cancel their upcoming travel plans or move them from 2020 into 2021 or 2022. Travel became non-existent and stood still. It has been a very hard year for a lot of people.

I can now say that from a personal and business standpoint I can finally see a light at the end of this tunnel. It also brings me hope when I see that people want to get back on their feet again and enjoy all that life has to offer. Living through quarantine for months on end has taken a toll on everyones livelyhood. So hearing the news that Disney will be releasing it’s 2022 package pricing this early gives me hope for a better tomorrow to come. We can book up to 500 days into the Future so if you book today we can book up until July 1, 2022. The date you can book will be rolling based on 500 days into the future.

Changes going into 2022 you will still need a Disney Park Pass Reservation in addition to a Theme Park Ticket to enter into a Theme Park, currently the same as 2021. You can book your Disney Park Pass Reservation as soon as you link your Disney Package Confirmation or Tickets into your My Disney Experience Account. Disney will no longer be offering FREE Magical Express Transfers in 2022.

Are you ready to plan your next adventure to Walt Disney World or any other destination? There is no better time than today to get started creating new memories to last a lifetime. I am here to help you make that happen.

Top reasons to book your Disney vacation package with me early:

  • All that is needed to hold any package is a $200 deposit. You can make as many payments as you like until your final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival. Also I can put a FREE (3) day hold on a package with only your Full Names before your deposit is due. So you will be able to review all the details and generate a confirmation number before you place any money down. It also gives you over a year to pay it off over time.
  • Booking early gives you the first chance to choose your favorite Resort or Room Category. Some resorts like Disney’s Beach Club which is smaller or some of the popular value resorts like Disney’s Art of Animation fill up fast. (Keep in mind that all of the Walt Disney World Resorts have not reopened due to capasity limites due to the pandemic)
  • Disney will be celebrating its 50Th Anniversary in October which means there will be a lot of new rides and attractions available in 2022. Everyone has been dealing with this pandemic through 2020 and 2021 and I’m sure we are all looking for a new getaway soon.
  • FREE GIFTS! Book your package with a Deposit by March 1, 2021 and you will get a FREE Gift!  Who doesent love Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Bars? Yes you will get a FREE Disney Gift Card to purchase Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Bars. Plus If you book with in (3) days of recieving your quote you will get an additional Gift a Disney Planning Glass or Mug to enjoy your favorite beverage while we are planning your adventure. (Courtesy of Pixiedust Gifts By Dawn) .

Are you ready to set sail on something new and exciting? How about an adults only cruise experience on Virgin Voyages. You must be 18+ to sail away on either the Scarlet Lady or Valiant Lady. The Scarlet Lady’s home port will be Miami on Caribbean itineraries. Then the Valiant Lady will set sail out of Barcelona of majestic European destinations. Think you know cruising? Think again!

Click onto photo above to view Virgin Voyages E-Brochure Flip Book

Virgin Voyages is definitely different from your average cruise line. No nickel and diming as mostly everything is included in the price of your voyage.

Over $600 in savings is always included on each sailing. What is included with your sailing basically everything.

  • All Food is included in over 20+ dining locations from refined steak and seafood to casual dining
  • Tips
  • WiFI
  • Entertainment
  • Group Workouts.
  • Stay hydrated with basic beverages included. enjoy still or sparkling water, non pressed juices, sodas, teas and drip coffees if you need a boost. Other major cruise lines never give you FREE bottled water. That alone is a big plus.

Dining is more intimate in smaller settings, There are no large dining rooms or buffet lines to wait on.  How do you feel about Dress Codes?  There is no Dress Code so dress as you please.

Table-side service at The Wake restaurant.

Plus no Unlimited Drink packages that’s right. They have something called BAR TAB. So it pays to pre pay.

Purchase a $300 prepaid Bar-Tab and Virgin Voyages will top you off with an extra $50 to $100 added on to spend at any bar on board or at The Beach Club at Bimini. Cheers! (So please let me know so I can add your pre-paid bar tab onto your booking for the best benefit to be added at time of booking) Virgin offers Bar-Tab add on promotions throughout the year. You must purchase a minimum of a $300 Bar-Tab to qualify for any bonus offers which may be available at time of booking and the bonus amounts vary by promotion. Also you will be happy to know that Virgin’s drink pricing is much lower than the industry standards. Delivering quality beverages over quantity. Bar-Tab it’s very flexible to each individual.  So if you are a non drinker staying in a cabin with a drinker that’s great no need to purchase a Bar-Tab. Some cruise lines force everyone in the cabin to purchase a plan. My favorite is you can buy a round of drinks from the bar not just limited to one drink every 15 minutes.

Bartender prepares a cocktail at The Wake restaurant

How does Bar Tab work?
Pre-voyage, Sailors can purchase a Bar Tab in $300 increments, and any premium beverages they buy will be deducted from their Bar Tab. The balance can be reviewed in The Sailor App.

What’s in it for Sailors?
For every $300 pre-purchased, Sailors receive a bonus $50 or $100 bonus (Based on current sales promotion at time of booking).

So if you are a casual drinker or a more social drinker its great to pre-pay your bar tab and save.
